After our visits to Detroit and Flint, Michigan we got back on the bus and headed towards our third and final stop: South Bend, Indiana.

From the moment we stepped foot off the bus it was clear that South Bend was on the move.

We had the privilege of having breakfast with Mayor Pete Buttigieg (or as he prefers, simply “Mayor Pete”) before he accompanied us on a tour of their 1.3 million-square-foot former Studebaker plant that was being transformed into a mixed-use technology campus. The idea of this space is to serve as an incubator for all manner of tech and business ventures to thrive and grow. We were truly impressed with what we saw, and with Mayor Pete’s vision and leadership.
